Job title: Senior Project Manager – Construction Consultancy

Description:
This is a Senior Project Manager role with a leading Irish Construction Consultancy, based in Dún Laoghaire. Scollard Doyle is focussed on providing a high quality, customised and value-added service to a select group of clients across multiple sectors in the construction market.
The role will report to the Director of Project Management and be responsible for the delivery of complex and exciting new build and refurbishment projects within the built environment. The selected candidate will have an opportunity to manage all phases of projects, from feasibility stage, through planning and procurement and into construction and delivery.
The Person
The successful applicant will:
• Be a team player
• Have significant consultancy experience in client facing roles
• Have a proven track record in the project management and construction market, ideally in Ireland
• Be an articulate and confident communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Be a problem solver who is focussed on successful project delivery
• Self-motivated with good leadership capability
• Have an awareness and understanding of the commerciality of projects from a client’s perspective and an inclination to add value through the project management process
• Have good experience of the principal legal agreements used in the industry including Letters of Appointment, Contracts,
Agreements for Lease, Leases etc.
• Have a relevant third level qualification preferably in Engineering or related Project Management Discipline
• Have 10 years minimum project management experience
• Have strong technical proficiency in project management across the entire project life cycle.
The Role
Key responsibilities will include:
• Reporting to the Director of Project Management
• Being responsible and accountable for the overall successful delivery of projects
• Taking the lead PM role on projects and being the primary interface with the client, other consultants, contractors and all project stakeholders
• Formulating and implementing the Project Execution Plan including all usual requirements including brief, governance, communications, stakeholder management, change management etc.
• Building relationships and securing the position of trusted advisor leading to happy clients and repeat business.
• Where applicable, you will manage, mentor and develop junior project managers to deliver the PM service efficiently and effectively to our client’s expectations
