Scollard Doyle is a vibrant construction consultancy specialising in cost management and project management of construction projects, with offices in Dublin and Cork. We deliver projects for our clients in many sectors, including commercial office developments, office fit-outs, residential developments, retail projects, project monitoring, healthcare facilities and government projects.

We are currently looking for an Operations Manager to be an integral part of our team in Dublin.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and support the Marketing, HR, I.T and Finance functions
• Oversee the bids process from initial client introduction, through proposal submission, interview and contract
• Oversee the Scollard Doyle website content
• Oversee marketing and business development activities
• Oversee the preparation of fee proposals for bids
• Support recruitment efforts, including hiring and training
• Assist in the planning, monitoring and appraising of employee’s work
• Liaise with I.T providers and oversee an effective I.T. function
• Strategise process improvements to assist teams to complete tasks effectively
• Work cross-functionally on strategic company projects and initiatives and apply critical thinking skills to provide solutions that drive company performance.
• Manage quality assurance programs
• Manage health and safety standards
• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, analysis and monthly supplemental schedule preparation.
• Prepare monthly journal entries.
• Prepare bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
• Prepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Prepare weekly cash flow forecast and reporting
• Manage 12-month rolling revenue and expenditure forecast
• Assist with preparation of audit schedules and play an integral part in annual financial audit.
• Ensure all relevant legal and regulatory documents are filed to guarantee compliance with relevant authorities
• Perform other duties that are reasonably associated with the above essential functions

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent leadership skills including delegation, time management and prioritization of tasks
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Work closely and build a strong relationship with the Dublin team
• Have a flexible mind and be hands-on in all tasks required to support the company.
• Experience with accounting software
• Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment.
• Ability to perform at high levels in a fast-paced work environment.
• Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction.
• Utilise effective written and oral communications and team skills.
• Demonstrate consistent ability to be dependable, diligent, and thorough.
• Exercise creativity and resourcefulness in completing tasks accurately in a compressed timeframe.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in Management, Business Administration or qualified by experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience at a small to mid-sized company
