Office Manager

Scollard Doyle, a vibrant Construction Consultancy Company based in Dun Laoghaire, is seeking a Practice Manager to join our Team on a permanent basis, with flexibility on hours.

The Role:

  • All aspects of accounting, to include accounts payable, accounts receivable, maintaining Sales Ledger, collating payroll information and making payments online
  • Month-end job costing, and monthly reporting to Management
  • Generating invoices and chasing debtors
  • Preparation and filing of VAT Returns and filing of P30’s online
  • Keeping an orderly accounting filing system
  • Uploading all financial information onto TAS Books Accounting System

Office Management:

  • Full responsibility for overseeing the smooth running of office, operations and procedures
  • Dealing with suppliers and placing all stationery and equipment orders
  • Liaising with Buildings Management on any facilities issues arising
  • Assisting with HR – onboarding of new recruits, updating Personnel Files and Holiday Chart


  • Front of house reception cover, greeting all visitors and screening telephone calls
  • Dealing with incoming post and distributing same
  • Providing secretarial support to the Directors, including taking minutes at meetings, diary management, travel arrangements and answering emails
  • Filing of documents, printing and scanning and any other ad hoc duties as they arise


  • Must have 2+ years’ experience in a similar role
  • Excellent MS Office skills, to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Working knowledge of TAS Books Accounting Package essential
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work under pressure
  • A team player, with flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads

    Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Salary commensurate with experience.

We are currently seeking a Quantity Surveyor with 1 – 2 years experience to join our Firm, in a full-time position.  The successful candidate can expect unrivalled levels of both experience and progression opportunity, with full back-up and strong support from within our Practice.

  • The candidate will be retained to carry out professional quantity surveying services or other consulting services for on-going and future construction projects, to include supporting fellow employees in meeting deadlines, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously, in an energetic and innovative working environment
  • Client focus and strong client relationship management skills are key to this position, together with excellent communication and PC skills, strong attention to detail, and an enthusiastic attitude
  • Bachelor of Science, Quantity Surveying
  • 1-2 years experience with a PQS company
